Abstract Call: INTERCOH 2013 Fine Sediment Dynamics

#1 Post by ckharris » Thu May 02, 2013 7:54 pm

Announcing the

12th International Conference on Cohesive Sediment Transport Processes (INTERCOH); University of Florida, Gainesville, Florida; October 21-24, 2013.

INTERCOH meetings are dedicated to improving our understanding of the physical processes of cohesive sediment in the natural environment. They are forums where beginning and world leading scientists and engineers can meet and discuss the latest progress in the area of cohesive sediment properties, dynamics and modeling. The proceedings of each conference, containing papers by the participants, are published as a special issue of a peer-reviewed journal.

INTERCOH 2013 welcomes topics related to the transport of fine-grained sediments. The main topics, all associated with fine and/or mixed sediments, include: Wave and current-induced transport, Field and laboratory instrumentation, Mathematical modeling, Coastal and estuarine boundary- layer interactions, Coastal and estuarine morphodynamics, Wetland processes, Rheology and rheometry of muds, and Biological and ecological controls.

Abstract Deadline: June 7, 2013. Send your abstract to intercoh2013usa@gmail.com

Abstracts can be up to two pages maximum, including introduction, methodology, results and conclusions. One or two figures may be included. Please indicate your preference for oral or poster presentation (the final decision by the Scientific Committee will depend on the availability of oral presentation time slots).

Sincerely- the INTERCOH 2013 Host Committee

Ashish Mehta (University of Florida), Larry Sanford (University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science), and Courtney Harris (Virginia Institute of Marine Sciences).
