I4DVAR rewriting roms_ini.nc with new time unit

#1 Unread post by xavierC »

Hi,
I am running some I4DVAR experiments, but at the end of the inner loop when initializing the final non linear run it initialise (blow up) with a bad time.

To be clear, i start my run with a roms_ini.nc whom time is 175464 hours since 2000-01-01 (ie 7 of jan 2020) .

But then the roms_ini.nc is rewritten during the process with a new time : 631670400 (still hours since 2000-01-01).
therefore 3600 times more but without changing the unit in the attribute of the file.

should i precise that all my forcings are in hours and my obs in days.

Any one could give me some clue of Why and when roms_ini.nc is modified ? and why i get this anoying time conversion ?

I am using rev 991

Thanks!
Regards
Xavier

OK, found the day2sec in Utility/wrt_ini.F

trying with ocean_time in seconds from the begining (but i am queing... )
