Hello everyone.
I finished the make operator yesterday and got the file oceanM.But I find that there are so much confusion code in the file,is it normal?
so when I enter:
./oceanM < ROMS/External/ocean_upwelling.in
there are error:PMGR_COLLECTIVE ERROR: unitialized MPI task: Missing required environment variable: MPIRUN_RANK
so there are some relations between them?

It seems that you are not following the available instructions correctly 
Use the build script instead. It is not necessary to modify the makefile. Your posts are telling me that you are not reading any of the information that it is available on WikiROMS.
