even level grids or stretched levels grids in vertical

#1 Unread post by zangzhipeng »

Hi,all
I am just wondering which variable is the logical switch between creating a evenly level grids and the strethed level grids in the vertical direction? I see there are three parameters: THETA_S, THETA_B and TCLINE for the vertical S-coordiante in the ocean.in file. Can I use only these three parameters to create a even level grids or stretched level grids in vertical .
I saw in the output nc file, four variables: s_w, s_rho, Cs_w, Cs_rho are related to the S-coordinate. s_w and s_rho have the even space betwwen each value. Cs_w and Cs_rho have non-even space between each value. Which two variables are the level coeffcient for the grids. How can i find the grid type (even or stretched) i have used in my calculations.

Thanks a lot!
