Hi,

For a description of the Fasham option as implemented in ROMS you can check out:
Fennel , K., Wilkin, J., Levin, J., Moisan, J., O'Reilly, J., Haidvogel, D., Nitrogen cycling in the Mid Atlantic Bight and implications for the North Atlantic nitrogen budget: Results from a three-dimensional model. Global Biogeochemical Cycles 20, GB3007, doi:10.1029/2005GB002456. (2006)

You can download the pdf here: http://memg.ocean.dal.ca/memg/pubs/Fenn ... GBC_06.pdf

If you are curious about the inorganic carbon aspects, we have a paper in press in GRL. I can make it available if you are interested.

Best, Katja
