It looks like your HDF5 library was compiled for parallel I/O and is looking for the MPI library. Do you want to be running in parallel? If not, you should go looking for (or compiling) a version of HDF5/NetCDF4 in serial mode. We have countless versions of these libraries on our systems: different versions, different compilers, serial, parallel, etc. They all have to match the options you use to compile ROMS.
