#1 Post by antoinemarie » Fri May 23, 2014 3:11 pm

Hi ROMS users!!

I want to know if is it possible to make a nested coupled model between ROMS and SWAN?

Thank you for your reply,

Antoine

I did that using COAWST for the East Australia coast and it worked fine.
You just need to create separate input files for ROMS and SWAN.
COAWST comes with user manual and matlab tools to create child grids and other forcing files.
If you want to get source code of COAWST, you need to ask John Warner (jcwarner@usgs.gov).

There is going to be a workshop on COAWST this August and John said it would be broadcasted via webex if you want to learn it more. Not sure if the space is still available though.

Cheers,
