help with demo/Benchmarking

#1 Post by sergiolinux » Fri Aug 24, 2012 11:08 pm

Hello, my field is computer science.
Bad I need to have a way to test the performance of ROMS on some machines.
Can someone help me with some scenario?
Where I just copy and run on multiple machines to make a Benchmarking?

I am using Intel Xeon, Intel fortran compiler and netcdf 3.6.

Can someone help me?

thank you very much

Sergio

You might try the BENCHMARK setup in ROMS. It comes in three sizes, depending on which of the ocean_benchmarkX.in files you use. I'd only bother with the big one, personally. This problem won't write the NetCDF output by default, being designed to test the compute performance only.
