Optimal Stochastic Calculation

#1 Unread post by cesare »

Dear all,
I have set up my roms to model the California Current System. So far I've been able to run the non-linear model, the tangent linear model and the adjoint model. Actually I want to calculate the Optimal Stochastic, but I don't know how to perform such calculation.
Can someone please tell me how to do that, i.e. wich cpp routine have to be defined in cppdefs.h, and how are the input file required for such calculation.

Thank you very much,

Hi,
you mentioned you had successfully run NLM,TLM and ADM about CCS. I'm doing a similar simulation of my area. So, I'm wondering how to run TLM and ADM and weather you could provide related *.h and *.in file about them. Does Optimal Stochastic means a optimail initial condition or forcing? If so, I think ADM would provide a gradient of your cost function to related variables, and then a optimal problems' algorithm is needed!
Expecting your kind reply! Thank you very much!
