Could somebody explain how the advection and diffusion of temperature calculated? TS_U3HADVECTION TS_C4VADVECTION?
I am trying to simulate a case in which vertical advection of temperature is balanced by horizontal diffusion of temperature. (with background linear stratification maintained by heat flux at the top and bottom).
Currently diagnostics files show that the horizontal advection is in balance with the vertical advection.
Also I tried to artificially get rid of horizontal advection, by #undef TS_U3HADVECTION, but the diagnostics still show the presence of temp_hadv. Could you tell me what could be the reason for that?
