tide_start and ADCIRC

HI all,

I'm modeling Rhode Island Sound and Narragansett Bay and we have been using ADCIRC harmonics from 2004 for the southern boundary tidal forcing. I'm trying to model summer 2006 now and things are not going as well. I tried just adding two years with tide_start but haven't had much luck. Would the tide origin for harmonics_2004.mat be Jan 1, 2004? I know little about where this mat-file came from.

Other tricky part is the tidal wave develops a significant(ly wrong) M4 component as it travels up the Bay. I've tried reducing bottom drag but that doesn't have much of an effect. Should I be more concerned with momentum mixing parameterizations?

Hello Justin,
Did changing the momentum mixing parameters make any change for your case? I am also getting weaker currents in my model than expected and you are right about the bottom drag.
Did you find out any parameters that may help tweaking the results?
