blows up

#1 Unread post by lehel »

hi,
Intial basin volumes: TotVolume =NaN m3
MinVolume =2.31E+12 m3
MaxVolume =2.31E+15 m3
Max/Min =9.99E+02
it blows up at 0 STEP
STEP Day HH:MM:SS Kinitic_enrg Poten_ENRG Total_ENRG NET_VOLUME
0 0 00:00:00 NaN NaN NaN NaN

The grid is generated with Delft3D, and then i convert it to roms_grd.nc
the x and y' location is 0 at land. the depth of land is 0.

There must be NaN value in you netcdf input files. eg temp or salt initial values that you interp by the grided Rho points.
Check them and also the bottom drag coefficient.I think one of them cause the blowup!

You need to set the depth of the land areas to something other than zero. You can see that you are in trouble based on your initial volume of NaN.
