time-dependent lateral boundary condition

#1 Unread post by hseo »

Hello all,
Currently I am using Levitus climatology as a domain lateral boundary values.
And I am trying to use oceanic analysis data as a time dependent boundary condition. My current domain covers Southern California coastal region. I found NCEP's Pacific Ocean Analysis but I just wonder if anybody knows any finer oceanic analyis available. Thanks!

did you try Conkright (2002)?? Not sure if it is finer than Levitus but it's becoming more popular these days (it is complemented with satellite data).

cheers,

Guiyo.

The new version of SODA POP is a higher resolution ocean reanalysis.
