The Center of Oceanography of U. Lisbon is offering a research position (5-year contract) for Ocean Modeling / Ocean Ecosystem modeling.
The applicants must have a Doctoral degree in Physical Oceanography (or related Geosciences fields) or Applied Mathematics or Fluid Dynamics, and a demonstrated interest in biogeochemical processes, and/or physical-biological interactions in ocean ecosystems. Proved programming skills, and/or experience with 3D ocean circulation models coupled with biogeochemical dynamics is highly advantageous. The successful applicant will be committed to multidisciplinary research, will participate in ongoing projects, and will present new research proposals in the field of shelf/slope ecosystem studies and modeling.
