Postdoc in Physical Oceanography in the College of Marine Science, University of South Florida

The College of Marine Science, University of South Florida, seeks to hire a Postdoctoral Associate in Physical Oceanography. This main project of the postdoc is to investigate the impacts of large-scale topographic features on the vertical transport of heat and salt by running oceanic general circulation models (e.g., MITgcm) and analyzing existing climate or ocean model outputs. The successful candidate is expected to work on this project but is welcomed to pursue his/her own scientific goals that are relevant.

Candidates are expected to have a solid background in ocean dynamics and ocean modelling, should be motivated, have excellent communication skills, and able to work well as part of a group. Annual salary is $50,000 with benefits. The initial appointment is for 12 months, with reappointment possible given satisfactory performance for at least another year.
