A fully-funded PhD position in coastal/ hydraulic engineering will be available starting in June 2013 within the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the National University of Singapore (NUS). The student will be involved in performing laboratory experiments and numerical modeling of flow through mangrove systems.

Applicants must have a Bachelors and/or Masters degree in oceanography, engineering, computer science, physics, applied mathematics or a closely related field. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled. Only shortlisted candidates will be notified. NUS is a leading global university centered in Asia. In the 2011/2012 QS World University Rankings, NUS is ranked 5th in Civil Engineering and 28th in the overall ranking

This is the middle of the Christmas vacation season in most of Europe and the Americas -- perhaps reposting this in a month or two might get more of a response if you are interested in students from here...
