Post-Doctoral position at U. Minnesota Duluth

#1 Unread post by jaustin »

Hello-

I have funding through the National Science Foundation for a 2.5-year postdoctoral position at the University Of Minnesota Duluth's Large Lakes Observatory. The research addresses the role of ice in interannual variability in Lake Superior (and large lakes in general). The successful applicant will be in charge of numerical modeling of lake systems, using a variety of approaches, from 1-D idealized models through realistic simulations of Lake Superior. There would also be an opportunity to be involved in an ambitious observational program which is also part of the same grant. A strong background in numerical modeling is strongly desired.

More information about the position, and an online application, can be found at:

or you can write to me at jaustin@d.umn.edu for more information.
