Hi Dan, I got the same error. Did you figure out how to solve it? Apparently the nc file created by get_hycom_GLBa0.08_Palau_grid.py has no spherical variable. Even if I comment something in the code and put spherical = 'T' in the grid.py I get the following error: NetCDF file must contain lon_vert ...
