Re: Add c-language function in the ROMS compiling process

Actually, that's not what it's complaining about. It's complaining that you didn't declare the type of memuse in the Fortran code. Does memuse return an integer or a real? You have to tell the compiler since we have turned on IMPLICIT NONE (we don't want it making assumptions for us). At the top of...

Re: Error in ROMS execution

I don't know if I understood weel but: - TIME_REF represent the starting days of the forcing file - DSTART is the number of days from the TIME_REF I have changed the ocean.in file according with your suggestion, DSTART is now: 12483. But ROMS ends with this other error: NETCDF_GET_IVAR_1D - error wh...

Re: Error in ROMS execution

Provide more information from the log file, not just the end. If you are using the latest version of ROMS, there is detailed information in the log file with source code and line number where the error occurred. Here the log output. The error seems to be here: SET_2DFLD - current model time exceeds...

Error in ROMS execution

I'm running the WC12 test case, I got this error:

Code: Select all

ROMS/TOMS - Input error ............. exit_flag: 2

 ERROR: Abnormal termination: NetCDF INPUT.
 REASON: No error
Is there a legend from which you can read what kind of error it is?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Strange error in ROMS compiling

What is the date on: /home/simone/netcdf/include/netcdf.mod? Did you recently build netcdf-fortran as well? It is now a separate package. Today date. $ ls -l netcdf.mod -rw-r--r-- 1 simone users 21984 Jul 26 06:20 netcdf.mod I compiled everything togheter. And yes I compiled also netcdf-fortran. Th...

Re: Strange error in ROMS compiling

kate wrote:You should be able to check the compile logs to see if it is the same netcdf.mod that you just compiled (probably not).
Thanks for the answer. Here you will find my log file. But I'm sure it is the newest netcdf.mod (all the make check during the netcdf compiling went well).

Strange error in ROMS compiling

Hi everyone, I'm trying to install ROMS on a parallel cluster. I need to install NETCDF in my home directory, so I installed the netcdf-4.1.3 (with zlib and hdf5) and then netcdf-fortran-4.2. Everything went well. But after configuring ROMS I get this error in the build.bash script in the WC13 test ...

Re: Understanding ROMS output

It's tricky to add profiling of new parts. Start with mod_strings and see what's dimensioned Mregion and Nregion. You'll have to expand Nregion by the number of new things you want to monitor. For the ice code, I added a new chunk of things to monitor and added a new section of the report starting ...

Understanding ROMS output

Hi everyone, I'm trying to understand timing results in ROMS output. I'm running the 4DVAR WC13 test case. I want to know if I can find the lanczos algorithm time in this timing output, I can't find anything: Elapsed CPU time (seconds): Node # 0 CPU: 6839.045 Total: 13268.614 Nonlinear model elapsed...
