Re: effect of some lines

Thanks. Are you mean that whenever CHARNOk and ZOH_HSIG options be defined in header file then CHARNOK_ALPHA and ZOS_HSIG_ALPHA will be used, respectively? Sorry but i cant fined any thing about and CRGBAN_CW and SZ_ALPHA?are they related to CHARNOk and ZOH_HSIG options , respectively? Sorry for con...

Re: effect of some lines

Dear warner thanks. With regard that article it seems that those lines are important when we have coupling with roms and swan in VF formulation (is it true?). But it is my fault that i keep those lines when i run just roms model. Would you please tell me that it cause error in result or because i ju...

effect of some lines

Dear i have seen COAWST example. Just 2 of them have following lines (rip current and inlet) !Constants used in surface turbulent kinetic energy flux computation. CHARNOK_ALPHA == 1400.0d0 ! Charnok surface roughness ZOS_HSIG_ALPHA == 0.5d0 ! roughness from wave amplitude SZ_ALPHA == 0.02d0 ! roughn...

comparion

Dear friends i need to use your experience to correct my results. I used wind stress, shflux, swflux and swrad as input force files which provided from ECMWF-Interim. After running model for about 20 days, model 's currents speed and measurement did not have same trends  that is while meansurme...

Re: depth

Dear i have used set_depth.m and then checked z values in bottom layer with amount of h which are in grid file. There were different. For example for one grid point which its maximum depth is grid file is 227.1217 m , computed z from surface to bottom are, -0.0927,-.2868,....,-10.1409,-44.2666,....,...

Re: depth

Dear As you know by using set_depth.m, number of z levels will be same as number of sigma layers. In the other hand each sigma layer has thickness in vertical direction. So please tell me that computed z values for each layer are corresponded to maximum or mean depth in each sigma level. Cheers pooran

Re: depth

Dear actually, my first post was about that . I want to know how i can compute each layer depth by ROMS output :?:. would you please tell me that the correct way to compute depth (by ROMS output) is to multiplying each layer's S_coor (or CS_curve :?: ) with h values which can be gotten from h matrix...

Re: depth

Sorry, but i have used rnt_setdepth.m (which located in RNT/matlib/rnt subdirectory) and depths.m (which is in ROMS/MATLAB/utility) for computing depth at rho points. Results were different :!: Actually, i my aim is to extract u and v values in specific depth.if you have another recommend i become a...

depth

hi
How can compute each sigma level's depth at rho point? By multiplying rho point's depth by value of each level's S_coor Or CS_curve ?is there another way?
Thanks
