Hi, Everyone, Just want to report the different results in ROMS tidal simulation from two different version of ROMS, V766 and V820 (see attached figure). The model runs have identical setting with RAMP_TIDES. My guess is that two version of ROMS have two different ramp up weight coefficient/function...

Considering a wet-dry ROMS, We can have a grid covering a domain without worrying about minimum depth. Just let the water flow around following fluid mechanics. What I want is to use evenly-divided sigma-coordinate when h<Tcline in ROMS. In reality, The coding make it impossible. 1) in current s-coordinate coding, hc=min(Tcline, hmin). Therefore hc<=Tcline. not what i want. 2) if set hc=Tcline, then for h<Tcline. Middle layers will thinner than surface and ...
