Re: restart error with nested grid

Yes that was it  Wonder why it did not bomb right away in the original run?
Thanks!

restart error with nested grid

Hello Forum, I am trying a restart of a COAWST compilation with a nested grid in ROMS. The job ran for approximately 7200 timesteps before bombing. For my restart, I set NRREC to -1, and put my two restart files as the initial condition files. Also I renamed these files so that they would not be ove...

Re: generating nested grid contacts

John, thanks for your response. I redid the grids, creating a coarse grid first, then using coarse2fine.m to make the refined grid and was able to successfully make the contact file. Before I had created the high resolution "user" grid first because that was suggested at the COAWST worksho...

generating nested grid contacts

I am having problems generating the contact points for nested grids. I tried many approaches. I included the matlab script below for a simplified version following the approach given in the COAWST manual. I have been able to generate a nested grid and contacts from an old Seagrid created grid, but n...

Re: How to generate contact netcdf?

Will you share what you did to solve the issue? I have been through the exact same steps as you and have also encountered this error message.
Thanks,
David

sediment initial conditions for median grain diameter

I am trying to put together an initial conditions file for a sediment run and using the sediment_test case as an example. A few things I am confused about. In the sediment.in file, SAND_SD50 == 0.25d0, and MUD_SD50 == 0.25d0 , apparently in units of mm. In test_head_ini.nc, the grain_diameter is 0.3...

Re: compilation error rdrag=???

Thanks for your response. I added #undef ANA_DRAG #undef UV_DRAG_GRID to the end of the cppdefs.h and got a new error, below: cd /projects/dafu8991/CALUS/Build; /curc/sw/intel/17.4/impi/2017.3.196/bin64/mpif90 - c -heap-arrays -fp-model precise -ip -O3 -free analytical.f90 analytical.f90(791): error...

compilation error rdrag=???

I'm trying to adapt the cppdefs.h from a project that successfully compiled about 10 years ago. The ana_drag.h file assigns rdrag=???, which the compiler does not like. How do I assign the value? I tried other BBL combinations but had similar problems. I tried copying the expression for the upwellin...
