Following the joint terrain-following modeling communities workshop, the inaugural meeting for the next generation Terrain-following Coordinates Ocean Modeling System (TOMS) will be held in Boulder, Colorado (USA) at NCAR's Foothills Lab, ATD Atrium, on Thursday August 23, 2001.

This is an organizational meeting of the expert systems development group and others to review scientific and technical objectives, to establish governing committee, to coordinate funded work and tasks, and to discuss other relevant issues regarding design, development, and testing of the new expert system.

Following the meeting we will have a group photograph and dinner buffet at NCAR's scenic Mesa Lab.

We will send future mailings regarding this meeting, hotel, transportation, and other information. Please let us know by May 18th, or as soon as you can, if you plan to attend this meeting in order for us to secure sufficient hotel accommodations.
